HONESTY, SINCERITY and
DETACHMENT are the most important
step in the spiritual path (soul path).
Honesty is not about being honest to
others, but we have to be honest with
ourselves because we can't think one
thing but do the opposite.  Don't worry
about honesty to others because if we
are honest with ourselves then we will
naturally be honest with others as
well.  If we are not even honest with
ourselves, then how can we expect to
be honest with others?  Once again,
we see how all the solutions are within,
when all is clear within then all will be
clear on the outside (without) as well.
How can anyone be peaceful or joyful
if there's always that internal conflict of
doing the opposite of what we think?
Some may think, "Why must I
SHARE
since no one has
SHARE anything with
me ever?"  If one forces oneself to
SHARE, then one is not being honest
with oneself.  So we must first allow all
our thoughts to arise without any
suppression, because we need to
know our thoughts first in order to
achieve honesty.  Once we know all our
thoughts, we should ask ourselves:
"Why do I have these thoughts,
especially the negative ones?"  What
we mean by negative are the thoughts
that relate to selfishness,
destructiveness or separation.
We can counter these negative
thoughts with the truth.  Nothing is
more powerful than the truth.  The
truth here is that we are all souls and
the soul is Selfless, unity, harmony,
etc.  Every time you have a negative
thought and counter it with the truth,
eventually it will disappear permanently.

Being sincere is almost the same as
being free of hypocrisy.  When we are
sincere, we practice what we preach.
When we are detached, we can do
without things.  For example, one who
is truly detached can do fine even if
one gives away all one's possessions.
When we are detached we can even
do fine in times of loss of loved ones.
When we are detached, we also have
an open mind because we can think
outside of the box and are not
restricted by any ideologies.
